A landmark Dallas shopping center has been sold to developers who plan to upgrade the property. Lincoln Property Co. has purchased the central block of the Lakewood retail district at Abrams Road and Gaston Avenue. The nearly 60,000-square-foot East Dallas building is home to several longtime tenants, including the Dixie House restaurant and Lakewood Ace Hardware. Lincoln Property executive vice president Robert Dozier said the new owners plan to fix up — but not dramatically change — the popular shopping center. This will certainly be a great step towards stabilizing the Lakewood residential and commercial market.
