Called an “unparalleled sensory experience,” Samsara brings together award-winning director Ron Fricke and producer Mark Magidson to create a new masterpiece. The word samsara is Sanskrit, meaning “the ever turning wheel of life.” The filmmakers address this idea through their exploration of the interconnection that runs through our lives. The film transports the viewer to natural wonders, industrial sites, disaster zones, and sacred grounds in twenty-five different countries, over a time span of five years. Samsara uses powerful images to illuminate the link between humanity and nature, taking form of a guided, nonverbal meditation. Showings for Samsara started in late September, continuing into October.
