A few years back my assistant Christopher London dragged me out of my “Lakewood hibernation” and introduced me to the uptown area…and this beautiful and yet laid back restaurant in what was fast becoming The New Dallas.

Coal Vines has become one of my favorite restaurants. Simple …beautiful and elegant. Delicious New York Italian food at its best. Their expanded patio area has a very European feel with wonderful views of our New City. Fun, hip and sexy ! The perfect place to turn of your phone at the entrance, then relax and have a real authentic conversation and if your lucky and catch the right night, Frank Sinatra will be playing in the background. YAY…Not all those crazy HD TVs everywhere! I recommend a side order of meatballs with Italian sauce for an appetizer then share the White Cheese pizza and the Lemon Piccata. Great Date Night place for us Lakewood old timers to get out and experience the chic part of Dallas!!!
