The Dallas Museum of Art is presenting Hotel Texas: An Art Exhibition for the President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy, a Reunion of Masterworks Exhibited in the Hotel Suite of the Presidential Couple, in conjunction with Fort Worth’s Amon Carter Museum. The exhibit, which runs through September 15, presents all the works of art in the President’s Fort Worth suite that November night in 1963, including paintings by Van Gogh, Monet and Franz Kline, and sculptures by Picasso, installed by a small group of Fort Worth art collectors who wanted to add a little beauty to their stay. The Sixth Floor Museum has also donated some films of JFK’s visit.
