I’ve waited over 30 years for the White Rock Lake Spillway to clean up and its finally happening. Last week Lincoln Properties newly named Arboretum village has begun demolition. Pretty darn brilliant that Luke’s Locker will be anchor tenant for the new 80,000 -square-foot retail center along with the relocation of Lakewood Ace Hardware and The Fresh Market.

This is a great start for this prime gate way location. Now if we can clean up the rest of Gaston-Garland-Grand…The three “G’s “. Rumor has it that The Dallas Arboretum is trying to change the name of Garland Road to Arboretum Avenue. Doesn’t quite sound rite, but hey since the Arboretum is so gung-ho on taking over the Lakewood area, why don’t we have them pay for a beautiful, landscaped, traffic circle roundabout at the intersection of the three G’s, like in Europe. WOW!!! Wouldn’t that be beautiful? Yes, I think so. Then the Arboretum would possibly get back in our neighborhoods good grace once again.
