October 16 : Wings over the Wetland

BIRD

Please join in making a difference by joining the fall Bluegrass & Barbeque benefit, Wings over the Wetland – Beyond the Surface.

The Sands brothers’ love of nature and the arts inspired them to tailor the benefit to resonate with their stewardship of the land. Rosewood Ranches Wagyu Beef will be the centerpiece of family style barbecue prepared by 4T’s BBQ & Catering. Victor Tango’s Alex Fletcher, known as DFW’s best mixologist, will be creating signature cocktails using natural ingredients, including honey from bee hives on the ranch, and the Dallas Community Brewer will provide unique craft beers. Wood & Wire, the best new bluegrass band in the state of Texas, will have us in tune with the Wetland environment as the entertainment for the evening. Linda Gray, accomplished actress, director and worldwide philanthropist, will serve as our Honorary Chair, and Avery Nejam, creator of their benefit logo, will serve as our Honorary Artist.

Located in the middle of the 2000 acre East Fork Wetland Project, the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center provides education and research opportunities pertaining to water conservation, wetland systems and wildlife management. The Center serves as the hub of environmental and social interest of man-made wetland habitats on the Rosewood Seagoville Ranch property.
