Restaurant : Remedy

Love this new restaurant on lower Greenville Avenue started by the HG Sply guys. Great ambiance with fun, beautiful décor, and delicious food. Parking is easy in the rear lot.

I needed to ground myself with our week long Texas Winter, and since it was a Texas Independent Day… I celebrated with the Grilled Dry Aged Duroc Pork Chop. YUM. The roasted Brussels sprouts and ancho-pumpkin spoonbread bread (which needed a little fun butter topper) combined with the bourbon applesauce was a nice delicious surprise. The debarked green deviled eggs were fun, but missing something. The fish sandwich was mediocre, but I’ve heard the fried bologna is a must have when you visit. Come by and see the Zach, the main bartender. He can mix together quite a highball cocktail before dinner or custom cream soda for desert.

This restaurant doesn’t have televisions scattered around to distract you from your company. My only complaint was the music. It’s hard to eat a hearty, classic meal with old school hip hop music. The elegant decor and spectacular food deserves more. I would play classical or cool opera music to enhance the dining experience. You can add the hip hop after diner hours.
