The second Saturday of every month is “Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up” at White Rock Lake Park. Join the clean-up effort put on by For the Love of the Lake and our Adopt-A-Shoreline groups, never missing a month since April 1996! We meet between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. at the FTLOTL office in Casa Linda Plaza, Buckner & Garland Road (facing Buckner). Come out early on Second Saturdays, have some refreshments, get some exercise, meet Lakewood area residents, and help us keep the shores of our Lake clean and sparkling! Breakfast and refreshments provided by For the Love of the Lake and their sponsors. The Dallas Recycling department and Lowe’s will be providing “spruce up supplies” including gloves, trash bags etc. Don’t forget, if you have a kayak or canoe bring it with you! Although Second Saturday will still be the Big Kahuna of Spruce-Ups with all the refreshments, giveaways, etc., the office is open EVERY Saturday from 8 am to noon for you to come by, get supplies, visit with a Board Member, and do a little extra duty for your beloved lake.
