Honor mothers and women by joining The Women’s Chorus of Dallas for its annual Mother’s Day one act-concert. Celebrate the wonder of the world that surrounds us with an unforgettable experience at the Texas Discovery Gardens. Revel in nature and nurture through beautiful music, touching stories, and a wonderful butterfly release finale accompanied by song.
If you can’t make it for the concert, but still want to visit Texas Discovery Gardens for Mother’s Day, they are open from 10 am to 5 pm with ample room for picnic lunches and family strolls through our 7.5 acres. Two new exhibits include the Honeybee Tree and Native Snakes of Texas. They will also be selling a limited amount of butterflies at the door to release in the Butterfly House on your own time between 10 am and 5 pm. ($10 each).
Texas Discovery Gardens is a 7.5 acre organic botanic garden featuring native and adapted plants. Inside, our two-story Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium transports you to a tropical rainforest, complete with hundreds of free-flying butterflies.
Located in Dallas’ historic Fair Park, Texas Discovery Gardens is a year-round organically maintained urban oasis filled with natural wonders. Family festivals, free admission days, and our extensive (and growing) EarthKeepers® student education program introduce children and adults to natural outdoor learning experiences.
