Food is Art …in this new addition to Stephan Pyle’s list of Brilliance.

Flora Street Cafe is located in the new Mark Hall Bldg Dallas Arts District Texas, USA

This Restaurant called out to me last week on an early Tuesday night. Spontaneously, I swung by and picked up my friend Gina Bender, a successful Dallas entrepreneur who ownsBPMI Property Management, and headed Downtown navigating the rush hour traffic.

We scoped out the place and managed to score a place at the common table. I watched the most creative food artists I have ever seen. Their focus and presence was that of a painter creating a beautiful canvas, only with food.

We tasted and shared. It was a sharing night. My contemplation for that day was generosity. How appropriate for this day on so many levels? Generosity…

There was no liquor license as of yet, so they served complimentary wine from Chile. The restaurant is BYOB until the end of June. You are welcome to bring your bottles from your private wine collection.

We started with the sea scallops. A different and fun flavor. It got my palate going. Next was an amazing, fairytale dessert, which was actually a lobster tamale pie. Wow!

My main meal was crazy delicious. I was craving meat so The Texas Rib-eye with bone marrow custard would do. Dessert was a salivating chocolate moose.

This is defiantly a special place for special nights with special people! A celebration of food, Creativity, Beauty, Joy, and Generosity.
