July 4 : Lakewood Parade

lakewood-1-251x300
This year’s theme is Lakewood Loves The Beach. This neighborhood parade has a long and rich tradition. The first parade consisted of the two Neikirk children riding their bikes for about 2 houses on the sidewalk in 1962. The idea grew from that point into a block party and parade for the families and is now one of the best neighborhood parades in the country.

Line up begins at the fourth generation Theriot Home on the corner of Lakewood Blvd and Cambria. Join the entire community for beers, snow cones, and prizes following the parade at the Tokalon tennis courts.

Don’t miss this year’s fun !!!
