March 21 : Bath House Cultural Center Art Exhibit

45219

The theme for this show emerged while the Bath House conducted some research for its exhibition featuring Irish artist, John Kingerlee. Mr. Kingerlee’s expressive style is closely related to the geographic location where he works and lives and the type of lifestyle he lives at that place. The painter moved from Britain to an isolated farmhouse on the Beara Peninsula of Ireland.

This real life story inspired the artists from this exhibition to imagine the life of a man and a woman who live in a solitary location near the mountains and the sea. The story sparked the artists’ imagination to create works that depict captivating ways in which a couple could co-exist with each other and with their natural surroundings, and it enabled artist to explore the complex aspects of the interaction of two people living in seclusion.
