May 13 : Visionary Women Luncheon

461072 JFH-front

For 123 years, Juliette Fowler Communities has served elders, children, youth and families from its location at 1234 Abrams. Juliette Fowler Homes Inc.’s services have changed as the needs of society have changed. In the last 30 to 40 years the population needing retirement and nursing programs has greatly increased.

The Visionary Women luncheon celebrates the vision of Juliette Peak Fowler and honors individuals who embody her compassionate spirit and who use their visionary leadership and remarkable gifts to make a difference in our world. All proceeds will benefit Juliette Fowler Communities One Heart fund.

At this year’s luncheon we will honor Vivian Anderson Castleberry as our 2014 Visionary Woman. Vivian’s remarkable 28-year career as a trailblazing journalist with the Dallas Times Herald was matched by her humanitarian efforts in her retirement years. A founder of the Dallas Women’s Foundation, the Family Place, The Women’s Center of Dallas and Peacekeeper’s International, Vivian was an inaugural inductee into the Texas Women’s hall of Fame in 1984. She has authored four books, including “Daughters of Dallas,” which featured Juliette Peak Fowler and Sarah Peak Harwood.
