The Trot tradition has now extended through generations of participants who celebrate the holiday with grandparents, relatives, friends and their youngest who we look to see with their own families in the years ahead. The Dallas YMCA supports strong kids, strong families and strong communities – all of which are represented at the Trot. Participants are also helping to support important YMCA programs.

The Capital One Bank Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is a YMCA tradition that draws people from all over the country each year. Even if you’re not a runner or walker, there are fun activities for the whole family to enjoy: clowns, pony rides, bounce houses, live musical entertainment and much more! The 45th Annual Capital One Bank Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 22, 2012 at 9:00 am. The event starts and ends at Dallas City Hall Plaza at 1500 Marilla St in downtown Dallas. This year participants have the option of being timed on either the 8 mile or the 5K events.
