Move over, Matt’s! Mi Cocina, a Dallas staple for years, opened its first restaurant in 1991 in the Preston Forest neighborhood. With nearly 20 Mi Cocina restaurants in Texas and Oklahoma, the newest location is coming to a new Lakewood location, and we couldn’t be more excited! According to Advocate Magazine, Luis Sottil, an artist from Tampico, Tamaulipas Mexico painted murals on the walls of the restaurant, representing natural scenes from nearby White Rock Lake. Not only is Mi Cocina known for serving the highest quality food by attentive, trained professionals, providing an overall dining experience that completely exceeds customer expectations, but also for their talk-of-the-town margarita, the Mambo Taxi! Check them out at their new Lakewood location when they open, Wednesday, July 18, at 6332 La Vista Dr.
