Restaurant : The Mecca

The rich history of The Mecca began with two sisters in 1938 and has been “waking up Dallas” ever since. The classic diner revered for buttery cinnamon rolls, buttermilk pancakes, and blue plate specials at lunch is now in our neighborhood at Skillman and Live Oak! The best part is they now serve dinner.

Besides the usual eggs-protein-starch combination breakfast plates, Mecca offers decent versions of migas and eggs rancheros. Hung over? You can get a huge plate of chicken-fried steak with two eggs, hash browns, biscuits, and cream gravy. Yum.
