East Dallas native, Barry Whistler, has run his Deep Ellum gallery for over 25 years. He is also a finalist for Best Art Space by D Magazine.
These days you’ll find lots of minimalist photography and digital art in the collection. Summer 2013 saw The Color Condition, a massive fringed banner constructed from painters drop cloths, shower curtains and tablecloths that hung on the exterior of the gallery like a giant rainbow grass skirt.
The new exhibit of four female artists called “Parallel Process” opens May 10, 6-8 PM, and features the work of Toni LaSelle, Polly Lanning Sparrow, Lorraine Tady, and Leslie Wilkes.
