Wow…I want this car. I never thought of myself as materialistic, but when this ad showed up in my email, my breathe was taken away!!! Such beauty and elegance. Dallas is definitely a city that loves it cars.

On the morning of 1st September 1937, Sir Malcolm Campbell headed out onto the calm blue waters of Lake Maggiore on the Swiss-Italian frontier. Taking the wheel of his Bluebird K3 hydroplane boat, powered by a V12 Rolls-Royce R Engine, he claimed his first world water speed record with a top speed of 126.33 mph.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé Waterspeed Collection takes its inspiration from the water speed records set by Sir Malcolm Campbell and the iconic Bluebird K3 and K4. It is the first Rolls-Royce to feature a brushed steel deck with a matching bonnet. It takes a skilled craftsperson over 70 hours of hand panel beating to create this stunning feature, followed by 10 hours of hand brushing to achieve the perfect finish. Limited to just 35 cars, the Waterspeed Collection reflects the same pioneering spirit and exacting standards that Campbell demanded in the pursuit of his land and water speed records.
