Heart of a Warrior Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public non-profit, launched in early 2007 by Gail Warrior. HOAW’s mission is to generate, facilitate, and execute programs and resources that provide total enrichment opportunities that are educational, cultural, experiential, and life enhancing—targeting underserved children. Since its inception, HOAW’s Young Warrior Summer Learning Program has served nearly 1,300 students and has graduated nearly 725 students. Distinguished by the Dallas Afterschool Network as “High Quality Summer Programming,” this STEM-based curriculum places a heavy focus on science, technology, engineering, and math with secondary objectives concerning nutrition, leadership, civic engagement, and social-emotional learning.

Chaired by Valerie and Mike Karns, HOAW’s Deals & Dreams Casino Night on Nov 8 at Altitude at the W Hotel will be a sultry Havana-themed night of food, drink, casino games and a terrific raffle.
