Restaurant : Bullion

I’m giving Bullion 5 Stars!!!

A wonderful retreat and adventure into elegance, beauty and creativity.

Bullion has an elevated level of taste, where all the senses come together and dance in ecstasy. Not since Caroline Rose Hunt’s “The Mansion Restaurant” has Dallas experienced such exquisite class and grace.

Even the name has imagination and originality. The restaurant’s namesake is twofold: the gold bullion issued under the French Minister of Finance Claude de Bullion under Louis XIII and the Latin definition of the verb “to boil”.

400 Record Street.
The renovation of a building and the creation of a dining space.

As you walk up to this special place, you feel as though you are looking at Cleopatra’s golden barge sailing down the Nile in ancient Egypt. Experiencing the dimensions and depth which all things exist and move.

Once inside, you are immediately transformed to a different time and space. Precision and glamor with a European Flare. No tacky TV’S to distract you. Instead the area is full of the only qualities that count: color, shape and form. Sexy glass windows everywhere. Beautiful people, sophistication and alluring surroundings that make you feel smart, fashionable and alive. The design by noted Swedish interior architect Martin Brudnizki who is based in London and New York, will certainly receive many recognitions.

In addition to phenomenal design there is French Cuisine!!! Brilliant and another grand adventure into the delicacy of the palate and the pleasures of the soul. The menu at Bullion features simple ingredients. All prepared using French techniques that highlight and enhance the natural flavors. Opening a restaurant such as Bullion has been a lifelong dream,” said Chef Bruno Davaillon, Executive Chef and Partner.

On my third trip to this brand new Downtown Dallas establishment, I brought My Friend Robert who was visiting on business. You know when your worldly friend stops and takes a deep pause, looks straight into your eyes and says… ” Damn this is good”, you did right with your restaurant pick.

A Big Texas Thank You to Georgina Hartland and her family for sharing a generous, awe inspiring and majestic vision with all of us here in Dallas.
