Carbone’s Fine Food is an Italian American restaurant & grocery located a short 12 minute drive from Lakewood and has plenty of parking. This delicious and beautiful restaurant is a must experience. Besides great food made in house, this place is the epitome of grace in action. The design is simple, austere, and elegant. There is lots of natural light and high ceilings. My hat goes off to the owner and chef Julian Barsotti. Spending the time and creativity not only with the food, but with the design.
Grounded in beauty. There are no flat screen TVs or Chaos. Reminiscent of a 1930′s New York City Italian café, when going to a restaurant was about great food and enjoying each others company!
I especially like the common table where you don’t feel uncomfortable eating by yourself. For me personally, there is nothing like eating delicious Italian food in a beautiful setting. I recommend the wedge salad with salivating blue cheese dressings and pistachio nuts, the pasta with marinara, and completing your meal with a piece of home made chocolate cake and a decaf cappuccino.
