Restaurant : Fearing’s at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas Sendero Room

Fearings

On our way downtown to do research at the Dallas Public Library, we got caught up in all the Downtown construction detours and lucky us, ended on the other side of Downtown at the Ritz Carlton. It being lunchtime, we figured, “Why not?”

It’s been seven years since the introduction of Fearing’s to our great city and it certainly puts Dallas on the map. The restaurant has had its ups and downs over the years with the economy and all, but Fearing’s is one of Dallas’ best kept secrets. I forgot just how beautiful the different rooms of the restaurant are. I recommend you strongly request to sit in the Sendero room, which unfortunately is not open for lunch these days. Definitely, worth the request. This room could possibly be the prettiest restaurant in Dallas.

Dean’s world famous tortilla soup is over the top delicious. The southwest Caesar salad was simple, yet delicious. We recommend the Dr. Pepper braised short ribs. I would pass on the Reuben sandwich. Dean, don’t mess with a classic, sometimes it just doesn’t work.
