Mercat Bistro, the latest restaurant concept in the Harwood District, is a contemporary European-style bistro in Uptown Dallas and has become one of my favorite spots in town. Walk into a romantic setting that is inspired by some of the finest European design and culinary practices. Mercat Bistro is known for being an intimate venue filled with stunning antiquities that have been recycled and reclaimed from all over the world.

Paired with a tailored menu and wine list, Mercat Bistro is a compilation of classics mostly from Europe and Texas. The vanilla bean cheesecake with caramel sauce was a huge surprise, but now a must order every time. Mercat is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner Saturday. In addition, homemade croissants, pastries, coffee, and to go items are available throughout the day. If you’re looking for a quick getaway from the norm in Dallas, this is it. Bon appetit!
