Stoneleigh Court Hotel Bar

This is one of my favorite spots in Dallas for “Date Night”. Swanky with a fun, hip crowd.

Original build in 1923 in the height of the Art Deco Era by architect F. J. Woerner and operated by the Efficiency Apartment Corporation of New York, It was a marvel and known as the most pretentious Apartment Hotel built in the Southwest.

It featured a wealth of services including a children’s gymnasium, a beauty and barber shop, a grocery store, a radio station and a 40 car parking garage. All 135 living suites featured a telephone, wireless access to the building radio station, electric fans, reradiated air and circulating ice cold drinking water.

As the great depression struck the American economy, the building owners were forced to sell. This started a string of owners that each brought additional elements to the hotel façade, amenities and mystique. During this time the Stoneleigh Court Apartment Hotel played a culturally significant role in the development of the Dallas Art and Music scene. It was often a venue for emerging artists, a meeting place for the creative community and hosted a number of notable individuals.

The Stoneleigh got a $36 million redo in 2008. Watch the video of the opening.

The bar is open from 2pm-12am daily.

Happy Hour 5pm-6:30pm has half off drinks.
