Charles Schulz was an American cartoonist, best known for the comic strip Peanuts (which drew inspiration for the characters from his own life). He is widely regarded as one of the most influential cartoonists of all time.
Peanuts made its first appearance on October 2, 1950, in seven newspapers. After a somewhat slow beginning, Peanuts eventually became one of the most popular comic strips of all time, as well as one of the most influential. At its height, Peanuts was published daily in 2,600 papers in 75 countries, in 21 languages. Over the nearly 50 years that Peanuts was published, Schulz drew every one of the 18,000 strips himself. As part of his will, Schulz requested that the Peanuts characters remain as authentic as possible and that no new comic strips based on them be drawn, thus the 3D movie.

As a World War I flying ace, the lovable beagle pursues his nemesis, the Red Baron, while also trying to win the heart of a beautiful pilot named Fifi.
