‘War Horse’ is an inspirational and moving Tony Award winning play set in England at the time of World War I. The play uses beautiful, lifelike horse puppets created by the Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa. These sturdy puppets are life-size, strong enough to carry a rider, and are used throughout the show. Through the use of these puppets, the story of Albert and his beloved horse Joey is told. Separated when Joey is sold to the calvary as a pawn for war, Albert goes on a dangerous mission to save him despite the restrictions of age and the very real violence that he faces. The production has been a success throughout the world, has been turned into a popular new movie, and now is here in Dallas for us to experience!
