S&P Reports Say U.S. Home Values Rose in June

The Case-Shiller report on housing values for the second quarter of 2012 is another piece of evidence suggesting that housing is back.

-The National Association of Realtors reported that existing-home sales rose to 10.4 percent in July from July 2011 year, while the price of a typical home climbed 9.4 percent
-S&P/Case-Shiller’s three home index (10-city composite index, 20-city composite index, and national index) stated that the second quarter of 2012 had the first positive annual growth rates since the summer of 2010
-The data suggests that the housing recovery may finally be leaving the stabilization stage and returning to growth
