It’s one of Dallas’ most time-honored Springtime events. Come join us as we celebrate The 46th Annual Swiss Avenue Historic District Mother’s Day Home Tour. Happening this year, just as it does every year, on Mother’s Day weekend, Saturday, and Sunday, May 11th and 12th.

This weekend-long tribute to Dallas’ historic past will feature five of the city’s most fabulous Early 20th Century homes and, on Saturday only, an historic Gothic sanctuary built by noted architect, C.D. Hill. There will also be an open-air art fair, a vintage auto display, a children’s play area with a kid-size railroad, live entertainment on the Avenue, free horse-drawn carriage rides, complimentary air-conditioned mini-coaches, freshly prepared food, ice-cold beverages, and much more.

The homes on tour this year represent a diverse variety of the Early 20th Century’s most popular architectural styles. Featured will be: a romantic Spanish Revival; an Italianate Mediterranean Villa; a pristine Mission Revival; a Prairie Foursquare with unique Georgian influences, and; a Progressive Style Prairie Foursquare.

Guests can travel between all tour stops on air-conditioned mini coaches staffed by neighborhood tour guides who’ll share interesting facts, stories and details about The District. Those interested in a more-vintage mode of transportation can amble down the avenue in horse-drawn carriages.
