Easter Weekend at The Arboretum

My late Mom and Dad’s tradition was to come to the Dallas Arboretum on Good Friday and be in the presence of nature on this holy and sacred day. They would drive in from the burbs then walk, meditate, and reflect in the gardens. Celebrating and marveling at all of God’s beauty and grace. Experiencing the bountiful Blessing, the stillness of White Rock Lake, the joy of the spring colors, and the serenity of this time and space.

Dallas Blooms, the largest floral festival in the Southwest, has been a tradition “Deep in the Hearts of Texans” for 33 years. This year’s Texas-sized extravaganza will feature more than 500,000 blooming spring bulbs along with themed topiaries, entertainment, food and other activities celebrating the iconography of our state that is recognizable world-wide.

Make it a full day in the garden and head over to the Camp Lawn for an Eggstravaganza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday. Enjoy live music on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage & Lawn, and enjoy garden games and activities for all ages including face painting, sack races, and live bunnies.
