When your mom said not to play with your food, she certainly didn’t see the future of Spanish cuisine coming. Taking the enjoyment of food to a whole new level, Foodjects: Design and the New Cuisine in Spain is a display of more than 100 cooking and dining implements that complement the delectability that is new Spanish cuisine, including objects like a “Writing Spoon,” origami fruit bowls, and the “Coporron” glass (a wine glass/pitcher hybrid). The special public event on July 22nd, titled “Creative Musings: Designs to Whet the Appetite”, focuses on the history of tableware and its evolution over the centuries. The event also features an activity that will invite you to be creative with your own tableware or culinary designs. Wine and light appetizers will be served ($15 per person).
This is a fascinating exhibit, whether you’re into food or not.
