KidFilm Festival

On January 24th and 25th, 2015, the USA Film Festival will present the 31st Annual KidFilm, the oldest and largest children’s film festival in the United States. Thanks to our wonderful Sponsors, all programs will be presented FREE to the community! Film and video are our most accessible art forms and some of our most valuable teaching/learning tools. KidFilm gives audiences of all ages an important opportunity to see and discuss great films together! This year we salute some of our favorite children’s book authors, celebrate animated adventures, magical journeys, the importance of friends and family, and environmental activism and awareness with a program full of imaginative, enchanting and thought-provoking films.

Meet children’s book authors Alison McGhee and Kathi Appelt, who will be available to sign book for free while they last. Some of the many films are: THE 7TH DWARF and THE ROOSTER OF ST-VICTOR (presented in English), Maya the Bee Movie,THE BOY AND THE WORLD, SAVING MY TOMORROW, THE BOXCAR CHILDREN, ANTBOY, THE LEGEND OF LONGWOOD, and much more.

Thanks to a very generous challenge grant from two Members and matching sponsorship support from Corporate and individual Members, all KidFilm programs will be presented FREE to the community this year (a long range goal for the program finally achieved)!
