Lego @ The Perot

I love Legos and can’t wait to take my great nephew Lucas for this cool exhibit at one of my Favorites… The Perot!

“The Art of the Brick” traveling exhibition, which has made its way to more than 80 cities worldwide, has arrived at Dallas’ Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

Internationally renowned artist Nathan Sawaya created most of the art by using millions of Lego bricks. The show, which is making its Texas debut, re-creates masterpieces, including Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” to Michelangelo’s David, and Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and many more.

Visitors can take a selfie with Yellow, a life-size sculpture of a man ripping his chest open with thousands of yellow Lego bricks cascading forth. Other popular creations include a 20-foot-long Tyrannosaurus rex and a replica of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. The exhibition also has a hands-on, interactive Legos featuring building challenges and interactive play spaces. The area is designed for tinkerers and engineers in training, while promoting STEAM learning for all ages.
