A sophisticated holiday show the whole family will love!

Back by popular demand, Mistletoe Magic returns for one night only—Tuesday, December 20—on stage at Dallas City Performance Hall at 8:00 PM. Mistletoe Magic features BWDP’s beautiful dancers and Broadway stars Hugh Panaro, Liz Callaway, and Joseph Thalken in an elegant and entertaining evening of song and dance. On Broadway, Panaro played the role of “The Phantom” in The Phantom of the Opera for more than 2,500 performances; Callaway wowed audiences for five years as “Grizabella” in Cats; and composer/pianist/conductor Thalken wrote the score for Harold & Maude and is currently the music director for both Patti LuPone and Bernadette Peters.

My amazing Iyengar Yoga teacher, Larry Lane, invited me and my friend Linda to this wonderful Holiday Program last year and we had so much fun. Larry is working on the creative team with Dallas’s own “Bruce Wood Dance Project”. Larry Lane made his professional debut in the musical Best Little Whorehouse in Texas working with famed choreographer/director Tommy Tune. In Broadway Tours he performed the role of “Mendel” in Hershel Bernardi’s production of Fiddler on the Roof, of “Gregory Gardner” in A Chorus Line and “The Tango Dancer” in Evita. He appeared in two Pulitzer Prize winning shows starring as “Felix” in The Normal Heart and “Mark” in The Shadow Box. Off-Broadway he played the lead roles in two world premieres, Come the Wolves and Heroes Left Behind. A graduate of the Professional Acting Program at Southern Methodist University, Larry most recently appeared on stage as a special guest artist for the Bruce Wood Dance Project filmed for PBS.

Bruce Wood Dance Project harnesses the power of contemporary dance to entertain, enrich, and heal audiences. BWDP commissions new work by acclaimed and resident choreographers, produces and licenses Wood’s repertoire, and presents programs that offer profound insight into the human experience.
