November 7: A Celebration of Reading

To celebrate reading is to spend an incredibly warm and engaging evening with George and Barbara Bush, their grandchildren, Amanda and George P. Bush, and some of their favorite best-selling authors at the annual fundraiser benefiting the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy and the Barbara Bush Texas Fund for Family Literacy.

Mrs. Bush personally invites best-selling authors who give freely of their time to share their works with guests. The author line-up includes: David Feherty professional golf announcer and author of The Power of Positive Idiocy; Gayle Tzemach Lemmon author of Dressmaker of Khari Khan; Ben Mezrich author of The Accidental Billionaries: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal; Wes Moore, author of The Other Wes Moore; and Helen Simonson who wrote Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand.
