Sacred geometry is a form of symbology that focuses on geometric forms found in nature, having roots in Jewish numerology and Hindu Agamas (rules for building temples). It charts the unfolding of number in space, but differs from mundane geometry purely in the sense that the moves and concepts involved are regarded as having symbolic value, and thus, like good music, facilitate the evolution of the soul.
Some geometers try to find deeper meaning in the natural geometry found in living things, using it as the foundation for a proof for the existence of a divine creator.
