Movie : Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired
roman_polanski_wanted_and_desired-cpmressed

Available on DVD, this sharply argued documentary “Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired” isn’t about the innocence or guilt of its title subject, who after pleading guilty in 1977 to having “unlawful sexual intercourse” with a minor flew from Los Angeles to London, never again to return to America. Neither is it about Mr. Polanski’s likability, [...]

Movie : Ghost Writer

It is interesting that Polanski was forced to edit his new political thriller “The Ghost Writer” while under house arrest in supposedly “neutral” Switzerland; especially when his new film revolves around unsettling political controversies and secrets. ‘Why did Tony Blair do exactly what White House and Dick Cheney wanted on numerous occasions’ is the main [...]

Movie : The Blind Side

blind_sideposter_0I was completely “blind sided” by Sandra Bullock’s performance and the depths to which this movie touched my soul. As an Irish Roman Catholic from Long Island, I was moved by the way this Southern family “walked-their-talk” in this time of inauthenticity. A must see film based on the extraordinary true story of All-American football star Michael Oher. A virtually homeless teenager who went on to be No. 23 pick in the first round of the NFL draft this year by the Baltimore Ravens. This film made me proud of my Chrisitan friends and aware of all the opportunities that each and everyone of us has in uplifting humanity!
