Restaurant : Good 2 Go Taco

good

Jeana Johnson and Colleen O’Hare opened their unusual Good 2 Go Taco at Green Spot Market and Fuels, Bruce Bagelman’s eco-chic biofuel station in Lake Highlands. Already it’s a huge hit. These are nothing like the tacos in a down-home Mexican taqueria, but they’re wonderful all the same, in combos like pulled pork with blue cheese coleslaw; jerk chicken with mango, cilantro and crème fraîche; or the “Hangover Helper,” with house-made chorizo, mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese. Tortillas, which are not house-made, come in white (flour), whole wheat, corn, sprouted wheat and hemp. Order from the chefs at the window, grab a Meyer a place at one of the few tables, if you can. Then pay at the cashier – the same one you pay for your 10 gallons of biofuel.

Good 2 Go Taco’s Paris, TX breakfast taco was on The Food Network’s “Best Thing I Ever Ate”. I can see why: juicy, tender hanger steak is piled into each taco, along with fluffy eggs, fresh spinach, cheese and potatoes. It’s a monster of a breakfast taco.
